19 MONTHS OLD!

Time has gotten away from me, I meant to do an update at a year and half but this will have to work. I tried counting how many words Aliya knew at a 1 1/2 and lost count around a 100, but it grows by several a day. She repeats everything but actually knows at least a 150 words maybe close to 200. She is always suprising us with a new word or two a day. She says up to three words together, and is sometimes too smart for her own good (read my funny comments). She will only let me sing her the ABC song or Old MacDonald right now, if I try to sing her anything else she says NO, No, no until I stop. She often starts singing the ABC or Old MacDonald song herself. She is in love with animals, especially her two neigh, neighs, she got from the neighbors. One is HUGE and she makes her dad ride on it with her everywhere for as long as she can get him too! She love shoes, tracing her hand has become a favorite the last couple weeks, shooting rocks through a old wrapping paper tube into her beads for points (a game her dad came up with), gymnastics (loves tumbling, flipping, bear crawling and stretching, swimming in the tub (she usually throws everything in the tub but then has to clear it all out so she can swim, swim when she gets in. She still Loves her puppets and usually has to watch them as she wakes up unless she has company then she up and running. When she really wants something ex. puppets, she'll say puppets, while nodding her head and keep repeating herself and nodding getting closer and closer to your face so you understand I really really want PUPPETS! It's pretty funny! She love to help with the laundry and has for a while, she now instists on putting it in the washer herself though. She has had a cold the last couple weeks and now her teeth are bothering her again so she's been having a rough time. A couple weeks ago we went to the park and she decided she would go down the big slide all by herself, she didn't need to hold anyone's hand or have anyone catch her. She is soo silly like her daddy, it's hard to get mad because she usually just puts on a BIG silly grin. Aliya also still loves her books and must have her entire stack of about 15 books all on our bed to read before she goes to bed. And don't forget one because she will know and let you hear about it. The last couple months she doesn't want you to read them anymore she has her favorite things in each book and she picks them out to find or tell you about. She will tell you Molly Lou is so sad, has to find the two cats in her bible stories, the neighs, neighs in another, and singing wheels on the bus, EIEIO quack, quack here, row, row, and hokey pokey and gets very excited when you say that's what it's all about Whoo(just to name a few). Every once in a while she'll let you read a book, but she usually is looking through another. She loves her Mega Bloks we just got her, when she saw them in in the bag she said, UUUUhhhhh, Let's Play! She likes to build towers and knock them down or a chair for her to sit in.
