ALMOST 14 MONTHS!

Kylie is one extremely busy soon to be 14 month old. She climbs on everything fromt he couch to the oven to the gate blocking the TV so she doesn't pull that over on herself to her shopping cart from Santa which he have to hide becaue not only doesn she climb in it but she thinks it's great fun to try and stand and jump on everything. Most of the time is only interesting in finding the things you tell her not to climb on and could care less about the bizillion of toys over anything else you try to distract her with. She loves her singing videos Nana and Papa got her for her birthday and really gets excited about the "Wheels on the Bus" and "ABC's" she shakes her head back and forth and says "AHHH, AHHH, AHHH". She is saying so many words, she going to be talking in sentences before we know it. Just this weekend we were getting ready to go for a walk and Jamey ran back in the house to grab something and she said "noo,no, noo, no, mamma, mamma, no, mama" needless to say she thought she was being left behind and wanted to go outside with me. Yesterday she went to the back slider and said "go, outside". I've been trying to come up with a list of all the words she knows and this is my best attempt.... mama, dada, Aliya, baby, ball, eat, drink, cracker, dog, Keana, nana, papa, B, Ty-ty, go, outside, giddy up, neigh neigh, cat, beep, tickle, no, (I know I'm forgetting a bunch so I'll have to come back to that). The poor girl her teeth have been killing her, her 5th & 6th teeth finally broke through about 3 or 4 weeks ago but still haven't hardly made much more progress. She is really liking smoothies lately as I'm trying to get lots of fruit in her and also trying to find more things for Aliya to eat as well. She also have a love of animals, dogs, cat and neigh neighs just like her sister and well I can say that did get that from me. She gets so excited everytime we see a dog or cat on a walk and loves to pet them. Both the girls have been enjoying the warm weather lately and love to swing and Kylie loves to ride in the pink car and Aliya is having fun riding her bike.

POOR MISS ALIYA

Poor miss Aliya she hasn't felt good since to tell you truth I can't remember exactly when. The thing I really remember is Memorial weekend (May 09) her complaining on her back was hurting in the car on our way to Cannon Beach which then carried on to other trips and around the house and especially at night. Then came a horrible bout of the flu over the summer pucking countless times, which is the first time in her life she has ever thrown up. Al soshe began getting a itchy irritated bottom whenever she would take baths. Had a spell of what we believed to be athlete's foot. Still having back pain and began complaining of her tummy too. Then in early fall got a horrible itchy rash on her hands during a weekend in Seattle going to the zoo, aquarium and Pacific Science Center. After several doctors appointments, medications, and finally a trip to the dermatologist and a little over a month later, we finally got it to go away. I couldn't help but wonder if most of this all was related but to what was causing it? Jamey and I both began to question something in our water, but after the test came back crystal clean we were at a loss.
Still having back pain and tummy pain and having a horrible time sleeping we decided to take her to Graham to see Dr. Lapenski who does NUCCA. That seems to help relieve her back pain and a lot of her tummy pain too for a month or two and we were excited. Then the tummy pain came back and the not feeling good all over. After a couple visits to Shannon Neer and a visit to her regular doctor, we decided to see a Naturopath, Dr. Wilkinson, here we come. Unfortuneately we made that appointment the end of November and had to wait until January to see him, but I'm glad we found him. The first two weeks we tried a yeast diet suspecting a yeast control problem, which I must admit made complete sense, between the itchy bottom, athlete's foot, hand outbreak and reading "Back to Health" but unfortuneately almost two weeks on that diet didn't seem to help at all. We then got her food allegry results back and found out that pretty much everything we were feeding her on the yeast diet she is allegric to, Gluten, Whole wheat, rye, eggs, almonds (well minus the almonds). She is moderately allegric to red grapes. So now we just finished day two being Gluten free. For those of you who think it's simple just avoid bread and wheat, Ha! Gluten is hidden in everything from syrup, to candy, to cereal, to noodles, to sauces you name it. I have a page of names that mean gluten you would have no idea that I carry with me. We thankful have a great bakery in Yakima that is gluten free but unfortuneatly Aliya is allegric to eggs also which is in a lot of the breads and such, but we did get some bread and some cookies for her after her two weeks with out sugar. Jenny at Jenny Mae's Gluten Free Goodies is fabulous and a great resource of information and support, love her! She had many insightful things and one thing that really hit home was that people with gluten problems or celiac often feel like they have the flu and they ache all over even in their bones and they are starving always hungery (yep that's Aliya) literally because their bodies can not absorp the nutrients.
So what now? Next we do the diet and pray that she starts to feel better soon! And we will be doing another lab through entero labs (www.enterolab.com) which will tell us if she has Celiac and is having trouble asborping nutrients.

Kylie's 1st Birthday!

Wow! Where has the year gone? Hard to believe she's already 1 year old. Kylie is talking up a storm with several words we can understand including, mama, dada, aliya, dog, Keana, nana, baby and a few others. She is walking all over the place but still crawls some, but has been walking even more the last couple days. She loves animals, puppets, books with flaps and does not like to sit still. She loves playing and being around other kids. She waves hi, goodbye, claps, points at everything and blows kisses. She loves to keep up with her big sis and loves the water too. She just starting giving loves when you tell her that hurts or you need to be gentle. It's so sweet. She has been helping getting herself dressed for a while now and recently started trying to comb her own hair, it's pretty cute.

For her birthday we went to dinner on Saturday at Red Robin and Kylie really enjoyed being sang to and dug right into the sundae. She absolutely loves balloons and it entertained her the whole way home and then some. She just kept a laughing and hitting it. I made her a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake (which is what Aliya loves everytime we have pancakes) and Aliya and I sang her Happy Birthday and she had fun digging into eating and eating it. She really loves pancakes, she about bails out of my arms when she sees them cooking. Then we suprised daddy at work for lunch, which both the girls really enjoyed. Came home for naps and then went to dinner at El Caporal in Selah then home for her Minnie Cake which I made. I was a very hard time deciding what to make because figured since we just went to Disney World I would do Minnie. I haven't decided what to do for her party, but probably something different. We laid out a sheet to take pictures and contain some of the mess and she was getting pretty tired before that, but as soon as Jamey put her down on just the sheet she was lauging, crawling and rolling all over it! She had fun digging in the the cake, even had her foot in there a few times! She kept trying to stand up (which wasn't a good idea as it was very slippery on the tile) and wanted to share the cake with us. Then off to the shower and bed! It was a great birthday!

GETTING READY TO GO!

I was tucking Aliya in for her nap and we were talking about how much longer until we leave for Disney World, first talking about going to Madison and Ashley's house the night before and she says "their brand new house with the dresses?!". Then talking about flying the next day and she says "Can I talk on the plane?" "Yes, quietly like we are". "Oh, Can Kylie talk on the plane?" "Yes" Then we are going to take bus to our hotel to sleep for the night then we get to go to Disney World!" Umm... "Do I get to have my passer and you to sleep with at the motel? "Yes, you get your passer and mama will sleep with you. "Can I pick out my bed? And I get my passer and you to sleep with though mama?"

OUR BIG GIRL!

Aliya constantly amazes us with everything she knows and remembers. She can recognize a fair amount of the alphabet, knows a couple of their sounds and knows almost all of place on the computer. She has been able to use the computer all by herself for about a month now. She can sing a ton of differnt songs. She is a little "mommy" and is a big help when she wants to be. Just last night she went and got kleenex and wiped Brandon's nose because it was running. She is extrememly excited about going to Disney World and usually takes about it several times a day. She was too funny when Jamey was gone hunting for deer. I was telling her that I loved her and she said "where are you going?" "No where" I said. "OH, we're just gonna sit here and wait to daddy to get back with a big Ol Deer?". And a few days before the that Jamey was telling her not to do something and she said "Don't tell me no" Jamey said something to the effect of him being the boss and she said " YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS! MOMMY IS THE BOSS!" :)

She has one 2 year old all the way through, one part way on bottom and one on the top just starting to come through. Those have bothering her not to metion her current cold and just the fact she's two. She is too cute when she grabs books and reads them, making up the story as she goes, but often it's pretty close. She has an amazing memory! She loves animals, playing with her stuffed animals, her little doll house and in her closet. Latley she would play all day on starfall.com or Reader Rabbit if you would let her.

OUR LITTLE KYLIE!

Kylie's 3rd just broke through a few days ago and the forth will be here anyday. It's down as far as it can be without breaking through the skin. Her and Aliya both have colds and are feeling crummy but hopefully it will be gone soon. Kylie still doesn't like food much as all. She will eat a few bites of my oatmeal in the morning, likes to gnaw on apples, will eat cheerios, bologna of all things (although she mad not anymore it's been a few days since I tried it), pizza crust and graham crackers. Still no bananas, peaches, pears, noodles... I've lost count of what all I've tried. And usually it's better not to put her in the high chair to try something new or it's almost a given she won't want it. She LOVES riding on the 3 wheeler and 4 wheeler, the horse and zebra and will get so mad if she sees it but can't ride on it. She also really loves pushing them all over the place. She is soo busy and is always on the move. She really is strating to like puppets like her sister and flipping through books. She is starting to stand for a few seconds with out holding onto anything and will be walking before we know it. She is a monkey and will climb on top of bins on the floor or the 4 wheeler or try to climb up the pack n play. She loves swinging with her sister on the swingset, water - taking a bath or a shower. She is maniac in the bath tub, water ends up everywhere. She loves giving me eskimo kisses and just laughs and then gives me a big kiss!

9 MONTHS!

Kylie is pulling herself up on everything on walking along the furniture. She hates baby food! Well and food in general. Oatmeal was ok for a couple days but that was about it. No applesauce, peaches, bananas, rice cereal, I could go on and on. Her little giggle just cracks me up. She loves frozen wash cloths for her hurting teeth and gnawing on a cup but not so much trying to drink out of it. She is very busy. Likes to play and follow Aliya everywhere, ride the 3 wheeler, 4 wheelers, the horse, and really like the alaphebet train.

KYLIE'S 1ST TOOTH, PULLING HERSELF UP & CRAWLING!

Kylie is really on the move now, she started pulling herself on 14th on me when I was laying on the florr and but the next Saturday at my parents she started pulling herself up on the couch. On the 24th her 1st tooth finally broke through and she also decided to ditch the army crawling and crawl like a big girl. The tile use to be a barrier because she didn't want to crawl on it but as of the 30th, it doesn't stop her anymore. Now is trying to climb up the fig, stools, you name.

AN UPDATE....

Both the girls are working on teeth, Aliya her molars and Kylie's first tooth has broke through yet, but it's really close. I keep thinking everyday I will feel it, well actually two on the bottom. Aliya has been having a great time with our neighbors this summer and has been a little sad it hasn't been nice enough to go in the pool for the last week or so. I can't believe what a little girl she is becoming. She loves her sister and is very helpful with her but doesn't like her getting some of "her" toys now that Kylie is on the move and into everything. She says the funniest things and her smile and laugh just melt my heart. Just yesterday she went to gymnastics with daddy and on the way home while stopped at a red light she says to the car in front on them "Dude, come on! I want to see the neigh neighs!" She loves to watch for all the animals on the way to and from town and scare them. It started with moooing at the cows and neighing at the horses to scare them now she will just say "AHHHHh, AHHHHhhhhhhhhhh!" as we drive past!
We have been taking Aliya to see a NICCU (Craig) Chiroproctor in Seattle to help with her back pain and hopefully tummy troubles. So far her back seems to be better, we haven't heard her say much about since a week after her first adjustment and she has been holding since then.

Kylie is officially on the move. She started army crawling as of a couple weeks ago and just yesterday kept pulling herself up to standing on me when I was laying next to her on the floor. She blows raspberries like crazy and we just saw the first sign on stranger anxiety from her when we went to daddy's work on Tuesday. Jamey handed her to Pam and she got the saddest face I have ever seen on her and just started crying! She does not like to be left out of anything that is going on, she wants to be right there in the middle of it. She thinks Keana is hillarious and about bails out of your arms trying to go see her. She loves to crawl after her, luckily so far the tile stops her and she just lays at the edge and pats on it. She has kind of started to say mama in the last week or so and likes to pat on your hand like she's giving you five. She has an obession with pinching right by my arm pit whenever I hold her on my hip.

MOMENTS I DON'T EVER WANT TO FORGET!

The way Aliya says good morning to Kylie every morning and snuggles her and the way Kylie just smiles and laughs at her. She loves seeing her sister too first thing in the morning.

The look in Aliya's eyes when she needs some snuggles and walks up to me to play with my hair.

The way Aliya has just recently started licking her finger and wipes the crusty off her face first thing when she wakes up.

The way Kylie has just in the last couple days started snuggling into my shoulder and rubbing my chest with her hand.

They way Kylie grabs my face a gives me the biggest kisses. Like just last night in the shower she was pretty much sucking on my face. :)

OUR 8LB 5 OZ 27 IN. 6 MONTH OLD!

Our little big girl is six months old! She can get up on her hands and knees and will probably be crawling anytime. She is sitting up now and doing really good at it, at first it was for 30 seconds or so and by a couple days later it was minutes and now (7/12) she can make 15 minutes or longer until she reaaly tries to reach for something and we have to catch her. She absolutely loves the water even if it's a little cool. She gets so excited and leans toward it and kicks her feet and smiles and then will get mad if she can't get in. She loves watching aliya and playing with her. Especially the snuggles she gets in the morning and right after nap from Aliya, it is too sweet! Kylie rolls all over the place even or thing and plows her head into stuff with her butt way up in the air. If she wants to she can stand holding onto something for a few seconds on her own. She grabs everything now so it's hard to have anything in your hand with her in your arms. She always reaches for the phone when daddy calls. She loves to krinkle, play and eat the wipes! She is still working on her her first teeth which have been bothering her lately. She is a busy girl and gets very bored being in one spot very long or having nothing to play with or interesting to watch.
